Madhubani, Bihar: The Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Justice Anjani Kumar Gond, held a meeting with officials and representatives from various banks. In the meeting, he instructed bank employees to handle the loan recovery process in the Lok Adalat (People’s Court) with leniency.
He informed bank officials and representatives that it is not appropriate for bank representatives to be stubborn when it comes to loan recovery in Lok Adalat.
He urged them to work towards resolving cases with a more favorable approach, taking into account the suggestions of the litigants. He emphasized that, at times, due to the stubbornness of bank employees, cases cannot be settled satisfactorily.
The Justice directed bank officials to submit reports on cases suitable for hearing in Lok Adalat to the District Legal Services Authority’s office by November 10th.
Discussions were also held on other issues related to handling a greater number of cases in the National Lok Adalat scheduled for December. Representatives from various banks participated in the meeting.
