
The central bureau of investigation (CBI) on Wednesday arrested a recovery agent of the Jharkhand Gramin Bank (JGB) at Bokaro. CBI arrested him for demanding and accepting Rs 15,000 as bribe from a complainant.
The CBI on Wednesday laid a trap and caught the recovery agent Dhanraj Kumar Choudhary alias Dhananjay Kumar Choudhary red handed soon after he accepted the illegal gratification of Rs 15,000 from the complainant. CBI caught him while giving delivery of the tractor which was in the possession of the said accused recovery agent at his residence in Bokaro.
On Tuesday, the CBI had registered a case against Choudhary on allegations that he demanded Rs 15,000 in cash as bribe from the complainant for giving him delivery of the tractor which was in the possession of the said recovery agent.
It was also alleged in the FIR that the tractor in question was purchased by the complainant from the said bank after depositing the required amount in the bank on the basis of auction conducted by it on February 10 this year.
“Search is being conducted at the residential premises of the accused at Bokaro. The investigation in the matter is continuing,” the investigating agency said.
