UCO Bank Manager arrested for assaulting Delivery Executive in Meerut
A 34-year-old UCO Bank branch manager named Yaman Kansal was arrested by Meerut Police on August 15, 2026 – the day of independence. He was arrested for assaulting and briefly holding hostage a Blinkit delivery executive, Amit Yadav, at the Ganga Heights apartment complex in Meerut’s Ganganagar/Gangasagar area.
The reason of assault was that the delivery order got delayed by merely 5 minutes.
A 3.5-minute video captured by apartment security cameras circulated widely on social media. It shows the customer confronting the delivery worker in the corridor, snatching his phone, slapping and kicking him, and then dragging him inside the flat.
