Bank Manager assaulted by Borrower during Loan Recovery

Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh: One more assault on Bank Manager has been reported in Uttar Pradesh.

Sudhanshu Mishra, assistant manager of the Prathama UP Gramin Bank’s Reeth branch, who had gone to Bahoranpur Syondara village of the Kudh Fatehgarh police station to collect an outstanding loan, was assaulted by a defaulter.

What’s more shocking is that the loan defaulter pointed a pistol at him with the intent to kill him. A complaint has been filed at the police station by the bank official.

In the complaint given to the police, Sudhanshu Mishra has said that on Wednesday afternoon he reached the residence of defaulters Room Singh and Maan Singh of village Bahoranpur Syondaara and asked them to deposit Rs 1.27 lakh of the loan.

On this, Maan Singh used abusive language and threatened to run him over with a car. After an argument, the accused brought a pistol from his house and pointed it at him. When he tried to snatch the pistol, the accused started fighting. Hearing the commotion, the accused’s wife came and snatched the pistol and took it away.

The assistant manager stated that five or six people were present at the time of the incident. He informed the staff about the incident. He then went to the police station and filed a complaint. CO Deepak Tiwari stated that a report will be filed based on the complaint filed by the bank officer and the accused will be arrested.

The crimes against Bank employees are increasing day by day. Banks and Government should take measures against this and ensure safety and security of employees.
