Mathura Bank Employee Alleges Harassment by SP Leader, Police Register FIR
A Female Bank Employee in Mathura has filed an FIR against a politician for harassing her.
An SP (Samajwadi Party) leader – Dr Rajan Rizvi sent romantic messages to a woman bank employee in Mathura. After meeting her during a morning walk, the SP leader began messaging her frequently. He started praising her and even offered to have her appointed as an IAS officer through the chief minister’s quota if the SP party formed the government.

The woman bank employee felt uncomfortable with the chats sent to her on WhatsApp. She complained to the police about the entire matter. An FIR was subsequently registered on Tuesday.
After the SP leader’s chats went viral, the party also distanced itself from him. He has been removed as the state general secretary of the Minority Sabha on charges of engaging in anti-party activities.

The woman works as a customer service associate at a bank branch in Mathura. Her husband is an officer in the Forest Department in Mathura.
The Samajwadi Party leader, Dr Rajan Rizvi, has been active in the Samajwadi Party since its inception. The party had assigned him the responsibility of state general secretary of its Minority Assembly. His residence is located right next to the Forest Department office.
He would often meet the woman bank employee while out walking in the morning. In the FIR registered at the City Kotwali police station, the woman complained that Dr Rajan Rizvi was gathering her personal information.
He also obtained the mobile number of the woman bank employee and sent her objectionable and unsolicited messages. The messages were later deleted, but before that, the woman bank employee took screenshots.
The woman bank employee was so troubled that she blocked his number. The woman alleges that after this, Rajan Rizvi began gathering information about her husband, who works in the Forest Department, as well as other personal information.
In a WhatsApp chat sent to the woman bank employee, Dr Rajan Rizvi wrote – Madam, namaste. I apologise if my words hurt you. However, I did not say anything to you that was against propriety. I respect you greatly. You are a woman with an extra aura. Along with being beautiful, you have a very good nature. You are an expert at your work-in other words, you are a complete woman.I do not think this job suits someone with your personality. If I move forward in politics in the future and the Samajwadi Party forms the government, I will try to get you made an IAS officer through the Chief Minister’s quota on a deputation basis. I hope you will have positive vibes towards me in your heart. I hope you will give me your blessings. Dr Rajan Rizvi, Mathura.

After the complaint filed by the female bank employee and the WhatsApp chat went viral, an FIR was registered against Dr Rajan Rizvi at the City Kotwali under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.
The police are investigating the case and more details will be released soon.
