PNB MD&CEO promises that Bank will bear Tax on Perquisites on account of good Operating Profit

Punjab National Bank (PNB) MD&CEO Shri Ashok Chandra has promised that Bank will bear Tax on Perquisites if the bank records a good operating profit.

In a meeting held in Guwahati, an employee of PNB requested MD&CEO to look into the issue of Tax on Perquisites. He said that it’s getting difficult to run house as huge tax has been imposed on perquisites.

To this, MD&CEO said that if the operating profit of Bank increases by 5% in this quarter in comparison to the operating profit posted by Bank in December 2024 Quarter, then Bank will bear the Tax on Perquisites.

He said that the operating profit of PNB is less than the operating profit of other banks such as Union Bank of India, Canara Bank. He also said that he is accountable to DFS and government but if the bank posts good operating profit then Tax on Perquisites can be borne by the bank. You can watch video below.👇
