Bank Managers forced to sanction Loans under CM YUVA Scheme
The Government of Uttar Pradesh launched the CM YUVA Scheme to provide bank loans to citizens of Uttar Pradesh more easily. The Government says that the scheme has been highly successful and lakhs of citizens have benefited from this scheme. But the reality is something else.
What if we tell you that the Government of Uttar Pradesh is forcing banks to sanction loans to citizens? Yes, you heard it right. The local administration is forcing bank managers to sanction loans under the CM YUVA Scheme.
Recently, a screenshot of a WhatsApp message from Hathras is going viral on social media. Branch managers who have not yet disbursed five loans under the Yuva Udyami Scheme have reportedly been directed to report to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) office daily from August 19, 2026.

As per a message circulated among concerned officials in Hathras, branch managers with fewer than five loan disbursements under the scheme will have to report to the CDO office at 10:30 AM every morning. They will be required to remain there until 1:30 PM or until five eligible loan files are disbursed from their respective branches.
The message states that the instructions have been issued as per the CDO’s directions. District Coordinators (DCs) have also been asked to ensure that all concerned branch managers report to the CDO office on time and follow the instructions.
The Local Lead Manager (LDM) was also requested to guide all District Coordinators so that the instructions are properly followed.
This shows the enormous pressure the bank managers are under. Why is the local administration forcing banks so much to sanction loans? First, the administration forces banks to sanction loans, and then, if the loans turn NPA, the bank management takes action against the bank staff. This should stop. Bankers are requesting the management to take action and resolve the issue.
