Recently, a kidnapping case has come to light. A Bank Manager working in ICICI Bank was kidnapped by the tenants who were living in his home.

Now, the Crime Branch team has successfully freed the kidnapped bank manager from Sector-62 of Ballabhgarh. The police have arrested the former tenant couple, Bhupendra and Rishita, in connection with the case. The accused demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from the family, and four lakh rupees, the vehicle used in the crime, and a pistol have been recovered from them. It is important to note that one of the accused involved in the kidnapping is still at large.

According to ACP Aman Yadav of the Crime Branch, the accused were arrested from Kaili village bypass road. The bank manager, Satish, works at ICICI Bank in Delhi, while his wife is a scientist in the Home Ministry. The incident occurred when Satish returned home from a friend’s house in Gurugram.

Bhupendra and his friend Ravindra entered his house, attacked Satish’s friend Amit with a hammer, and then kidnapped Satish at gunpoint. They took him to Gurugram in his own car. Satish’s wife informed the police after the kidnappers left. The accused then took Satish to Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh. The next day, they demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from Satish’s wife, which was later settled for Rs 5 lakh.

The kidnappers kept moving Satish between Gurugram, Himachal Pradesh, and Mathura. They even asked Satish’s wife to deposit one lakh rupees in Satish’s account. Finally, on April 24, the kidnappers asked for the remaining Rs 4 lakh to be brought near Bypass Cali village in Faridabad. The Crime Branch team laid siege to the area and arrested Bhupendra and his wife Rishita when Satish was freed after the ransom was paid.

It is worth mentioning that Bhupendra, one of the arrested accused, had been living on rent at the bank manager’s house five months ago. The police have been conducting raids to apprehend the remaining accused involved in the kidnapping.
