A major ATM robbery took place in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, where unidentified criminals targeted an SBI ATM on Road Number 3. The robbers used a cutter to break open the machine and stole approximately ₹10 lakh before fleeing the scene.

How the Robbery Took Place

According to reports, the miscreants arrived in a Brezza car and had already conducted a survey of the location before executing their plan. The ATM had been refilled with cash just two days earlier, making it an easy target. Using a cutter, the thieves broke open the ATM and took the money inside.

After the robbery, bundles of ₹100 notes were found scattered near the machine. The inner mechanism of the ATM was completely missing, suggesting that the criminals had prior knowledge of how to dismantle it.

Investigation Underway

The Kotwali police and a mobile forensic team quickly arrived at the scene and began their investigation. CCTV footage confirmed that the robbers used a Brezza car for the crime. Officials are analyzing the footage to identify the culprits.

One major security lapse noted was the absence of a security guard at the ATM. This made it easier for the criminals to carry out the robbery without interruption.
