A big Robbery has been reported in Bikaner, Rajasthan. Armed criminals stopped a bank cash van and looted Rs 5.1 million in broad daylight. The incident occurred between Sadhuna and Sarunda villages in the Panchu police station area.
According to reports, four armed criminals stopped the cash van, brandished their weapons at the employees, and fled with the cash box.
The CMS company’s van left for Sarunda at 2.15 pm from Nokha SBI bank with Rs 51 lakh in cash. It contained Rs 47 lakh in five hundred rupee notes while the other amount was Rs 4 lakh in one hundred rupee notes.
At exactly 3 pm, a Bolero stopped the cash van. Two robbers put a pistol on the driver’s head, picked up the box from the back and fled away.
According to the police, the amount looted is estimated to be ₹5.1 million, although official confirmation will be made after the investigation is complete.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Circle Officer (CO) Jarnail Singh arrived at the scene and inspected the scene. A blockade was imposed throughout the district on the instructions of the District Superintendent of Police. Special police teams have launched a search for the accused. Footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being scanned, and possible escape routes are being thoroughly investigated.
This daylight incident has raised serious questions about the security arrangements for bank cash vans.
