Hathras: Thieves Enter Canara Bank Through Roof, Police start the Investigation

A robbery attempt has been reported at Canara Bank branch in Sahpau town of Hathras district, where thieves entered the bank through the roof. Although they managed to cut a part of a wall to enter the building but they failed to reach the bank’s cash strong room and ran away without stealing any money.
When bank employees arrived to open the branch on Thursday morning, they found a section of the wall damaged. They immediately informed the police and bank officials, who reached the spot and started an investigation.

Thieves Cut Wall to Enter the Bank
According to initial information, the thieves climbed onto the bank’s roof on Wednesday night and tried to enter the building by cutting the wall below the roof. They managed to remove a large portion of the wall but could not reach the cash strong room and failed in stealing the cash.
Soon after receiving the information, the police reached the bank and a forensic team and dog squad were also called to assist in the investigation. Police are examining CCTV footage from inside the bank as well as cameras installed near nearby roads to identify the suspects.
Police Begin Probe
Circle Officer A.N. Asthana said that it appears the thieves were trying to steal money from the bank. The police have collected information from the bank management and have started an investigation against the unidentified thieves.
The incident has raised security concerns among bank employees and nearby shopkeepers. Police have assured that soon they arrest those are involved in this incident.
