
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Canara Bank organized a noble activity today by distributing 15 bicycles to girl students belonging to the tribal community. These students are currently studying at Madhyamik Vidya Mandir, Poyanje.
The event was graced by the Honourable Regional Head of Canara Bank, Navi Mumbai Regional Office, Shri Deepak Saxena, who was present as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Shri Balmukund Kumar, Branch Head – Panvel, Shri Omkar Kolekar, Marketing Manager, and Shri Suraj Bhandre, Branch Head – Kalamboli.
The Regional Head, Shri Deepak Saxena, addressed the gathering, which included students, parents, and school staff. In his encouraging speech, he emphasized the importance of education and empowerment of girls, especially from underprivileged and tribal backgrounds. He urged the students to continue their studies with dedication and wished them a bright and successful future.
The school management expressed heartfelt gratitude to Canara Bank for their generous contribution and support towards the welfare of tribal girl students. The bicycles are expected to greatly assist the students in commuting to school, thereby reducing dropout rates and improving attendance.
