In a recent incident in Chomo (चोमो) village, located within the Dabra Dehat police station area, three private employees who were part of a recovery team faced a violent attack. These employees were on duty to recover the installments of a combine machine that was financed by SBI Bank. The machine’s owner, a farmer from the Sikh community in the village, had defaulted on three installments, prompting the bank to take action. Watch video below 👇

The recovery team, accompanied by police personnel, had gone to seize the machine. However, while they were in the process of bringing the combine machine back, a group of people from the Sikh community confronted them. What started as a confrontation quickly escalated into violence. The attackers used iron rods to assault the recovery team, causing serious injuries.

The situation became even more chaotic when the police personnel who were present tried to intervene. Despite their efforts to calm the situation, they too were attacked. In the scuffle, the magazine of one of the police officers’ guns was broken, highlighting the intensity of the altercation.

The injured personnel, Jayant Pathak, Dinesh Pathak, and Brajesh Sharma, were immediately taken to a nearby hospital by the police. Due to the severity of their injuries, two of them had to be referred to the district hospital for further treatment.

Following the incident, the police registered a First Information Report (NCR) and have started the process of arresting the accused involved in the attack. However, SDOP Vivek Sharma has stated that there was no assault on the police, which raises questions about the differing accounts of the event.

This incident highlights the challenges faced by recovery teams in rural areas, where tensions can escalate quickly, especially when financial matters are involved. The involvement of the police in such situations is crucial, but as seen in this case, even their presence may not always prevent violence. The authorities are now working to ensure that justice is served and that such incidents are prevented in the future.

  1. The police personnel move to one side and let the recovery team handle it. Live examples of such acts of police were seen even at ram mandir in Ayodhya where the crowd was too much and police personnel were just sitting like mute spectators. Same in this case. Therefore no police personnel was injured and recovery team was bashed brutally. Had they done their duty carefully no rods and sticks would have come out.
