The Punjab & Sind Bank has credited PLI to scale 4 and above officers as per new PLI scheme. The incident has created a chaos in the entire banking industry.
The UFBU has released the official statement as follows:
Overlooking the conciliation proceedings, court case in Delhi and our discussions with iba on the 20th, we learn that punjab and Sind bank management has last night paid pli to scale iv officers and above as per govt unilateral formula. Other banks may also do so now. It is a deliberate provocation. UFBU is meeting today evening to decide our response and agitational programme and strike actions. UFBU.
As per the official statement of UFBU, the union leaders will meet today at evening and decide the next course of action. As per new PLI scheme, senior executives of Banks will get PLI upto Rs.20 lacs whereas Officers upto Scale 3 will get PLI upto Rs.50,000 only.
