A shocking incident has come to light from Pansaay village in Makba Panchayat, located in the Munger district of Bihar. A female teacher named Kanchan Lata Sitashu has filed a complaint alleging misbehavior and harassment by bank officials during a loan recovery visit.

Kanchan Lata, the victim, has taken her complaint to the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court in Munger. In addition to this, she has also filed a written complaint with the District Magistrate and the SC-ST Police Station in Munger, seeking justice for the incident.

According to Kanchan Lata, she and her husband Rajesh Paswan had taken a loan of ₹50,000 from the Regional Rural Bank (Masoomganj branch). On June 27, three bank officials — Ankit Kumar Singh, Raj Kishore Yadav, and Pankaj Kumar Jha — came to her house for loan recovery.

Kanchan Lata told them she was unwell and requested some time to repay the loan. However, she alleges that one of the bank officers, Ankit Kumar Singh, got angry and started misbehaving and shouting.

She also mentioned that she suffers from heart-related health issues, and the situation worsened her condition. Despite her illness, she managed to pay ₹10,000 on the spot, but claims that the bank did not provide any receipt for the payment.

The victim has further alleged that the bank officials used abusive language and even made caste-related remarks, which caused her extreme mental stress. After the incident, she had to seek medical treatment from a private doctor.

Kanchan Lata says she is now living in an atmosphere of fear and is worried for her safety. Following her complaint, officers from Harijan Thana in Munger went to the Masoomganj bank branch to investigate. However, the bank staff were not present at the time, so they could not be questioned.

On the other hand, Ankit Kumar Singh, one of the accused bank officers, has denied all allegations. He stated that both Rajesh Paswan and Kanchan Lata are the loan borrowers and they have defaulted on their repayment. He claimed that the bank staff were only performing their duties.
