Who is Bhajan Lal Sharma, the next CM of Rajasthan

Bhajan Lal Sharma is an Indian politician who is currently elected as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan and represents the Sanganer Assembly constituency as a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. He also served as the state general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party four times.

Political Career

He was elected as MLA from Sanganer assembly constituency after Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election 2023. He secured his position by defeating Indian National Congress candidate Pushpendra Bhardwaj by a margin of 48,081 votes.

Bhajan Lal Sharma is associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He is a resident of Bharatpur district. Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje proposed a proposal in the meeting which was accepted by the legislature party. Bhajanlal is the state general secretary of BJP. He has a master’s degree in political science. Bhajanlal Sharma, elected MLA for the first time, will be the new Chief Minister of Rajasthan. This announcement was made in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislature party meeting.

Other Developments

Gajendra Shekhawat, Mahant Balaknath, Diya Kumari, Anita Bhadel, Manju Baghmar and Arjun Ram Meghwal, were some other names in the list of contenders for the CM post in Rajasthan.

Besides, Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa have been named as Bhajan Lal Sharma’s two deputies.

MLA Vasudev Devnani will be the Speaker. He hails from Ajmer and has previously served as the state Education Minister.
