A Bank of Baroda Scale II officer from the Alwar Region has resigned from his job, alleging continuous harassment by regional authorities. In a resignation letter dated July 12, 2026, addressed to the Zonal Secretary of the All India Bank of Baroda Officers Association, the officer claimed that he was mentally harassed after joining the bank’s Palri branch and was forced to resign due to the treatment he received from the regional office.

Officer Says He Was Forced to Resign Due to Harassment

The officer, Rupesh Pareek, who has been working with Bank of Baroda since 2012, said he always tried to give his best to the organisation. In the letter, he alleged that the Alwar Regional Office issued a transfer order to Fatehpur branch without taking his consent or asking for his preferred posting location.

He said he was relieved from Palri branch on July 4, 2026, but did not join the Fatehpur branch because he requested a posting at another branch in Sikar. Feeling ignored, discriminated against and mentally disturbed, he submitted his resignation through HR Connect on July 6, 2026.

Officer Claims He Considered Extreme Steps

In the letter, Rupesh Pareek made a serious allegation regarding the level of harassment. He wrote that the behaviour of the regional authorities was so stressful that he had considered “all possible extreme outcomes.” However, he said he finally decided to resign instead of taking any extreme step that would only harm his family.

Difficult Posting at Palri Branch

According to the officer, he was posted as Branch Head of Palri branch on August 1, 2025. He stated that before he took charge, two branch heads had already been relieved from the same branch within two months.

He also claimed that during his tenure, one officer was mostly on leave because of retirement, leaving him to manage the branch almost single-handedly with the help of subordinate staff. He described the working conditions as very difficult.

The officer further said that he had even decided to resign in September 2025 due to continuous pressure to achieve business targets and humiliation during Microsoft Teams meetings. However, he withdrew his resignation after receiving assurances from the Regional Manager.

Claims of Good Business Performance

Rupesh Pareek stated that when he took charge of the Palri branch, the branch was performing negatively in CASA, Total Deposits, Total Advances, Retail Advances and MSME Advances on a year-to-date basis.

He claimed that under his leadership, the branch improved significantly. According to him, by March 2026, the branch had achieved its CASA, Total Deposit and MSME Advance targets and became positive year-to-date in all major business parameters.

He also stated that he did not take even a single full-day leave between August 1, 2025, and July 4, 2026, because of his commitment towards the bank. However, he said that his hard work was not appreciated by the regional authorities.

Appeals to the Officers’ Association

In his resignation letter, the officer questioned whether such treatment was the reward for an employee’s dedicated service. He requested the officers’ association to enquire about his work performance and behaviour by speaking with customers and staff members. He added that if any shortcomings were found in his conduct, the association could ignore his allegations.
