Gujarat Gramin Bank denies Leaves to Staff in September Quarter
Gujarat Gramin Bank has ordered all staff in Bhuj region to avoid taking leaves during the September Quarter.
The letter issued by regional manager in Bhuj stated that while reviewing the recent business figures of the Region, it has been observed that the region is still far away from the allotted targets in some of the core business parameters viz. CASA, TD, Total Deposit, SSS & WMS.
Therefore, the regional manager has advised all Branch Managers and their teams to avoid availing as well as sanctioning leave up to completion of quarter ending September 2026 except medical exigency or some unavoidable circumstances.
Branch Managers are advised to avoid applying for leave up to quarter ending Sep 2026. If any Branch Manager has to proceed on leave due to unavoidable circumstances, he has to ensure getting prior confirmation from the Regional Manager.
Some Banks have also released letters urging staff not to take leaves during Raksha Bandhan Holidays, the Gujarat Gramin Bank has gone one step ahead. The bank has urged staff not to take leaves till September Quarter.

The Bank employees, as well as the public, are criticizing the Bank for this order. There are still around 1.5 months left until the end of the September quarter. How is it possible to expect that nobody will take leave for such a long period?
Employees have families and friends, and they need time to spend with them. Moreover, banks often post employees away from their hometowns, and they need leave to travel back home and celebrate festivals with their families. Denying employees leave to celebrate festivals with their families is not a good approach. Every employee deserves the opportunity to spend important festivals with their loved ones.
