A bank manager in Sikar, India, was beaten and robbed of his gold chain and cash on Wednesday. The victim alleges that the robbers threatened to frame him in a false case if he filed a police complaint.
The Dadia police said that the victim, Vikas Kumar, a relationship manager at a bank in Bhajangarh-Behri, was driving his car when he was stopped by a pickup truck driven by Rakesh, a resident of Navalgarh. Rakesh and two or three other men in the pickup truck dragged Kumar out of his car and beat him. They then stole his gold chain and around 16,000 rupees in cash.
Kumar told police that Rakesh had previously applied for a loan at his bank, but his application was rejected. Rakesh had then called Kumar and threatened him.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
