A Major Election Promise Fulfilled
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had promised free scooters for meritorious female students as part of its election manifesto ahead of the 2022 Uttar Pradesh elections. By launching the Rani Laxmibai Scooty Scheme, the UP government has taken a significant step towards fulfilling its commitment to women’s empowerment and higher education.
This initiative is expected to benefit thousands of students across the state, particularly in rural areas where transportation remains a key challenge for girls pursuing higher education.
