The All India Bank Officers’ Confederation (AIBOC) has written to the Karnal Police Superintendent, seeking a fair and detailed investigation into the sudden death of Anil Kumar, a manager with State Bank of India (SBI).
According to the letter, Anil Kumar was working at SBI’s Taraori branch under the Karnal unit of AIBOC. He had been missing for two days, and his mobile phone was switched off. A complaint was lodged and efforts were made to trace him.
The letter said that Anil Kumar returned to his Taraori residence late at night. The next morning, he was found unconscious at his home. He was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The exact cause of death is not yet known, and a post-mortem examination has been proposed.
AIBOC said the incident has caused shock and deep concern among the family, colleagues, and the wider banking community. The union has requested the police to conduct a thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation into all aspects related to his disappearance and death, so that the truth comes out and doubts are cleared.
The union also urged authorities to handle the case with sensitivity and fairness to ensure justice for the bereaved family. AIBOC said its local unit and representatives are fully cooperating with the administration and are providing all possible support to the grieving family.
