In the village of Kalsada in the Byana police station area, unknown criminals caused a commotion on Monday. They ripped apart the ATM of Punjab National Bank, but the noise alerted people nearby.

The incident took place just 200 meters away from the police outpost. However, the criminals couldn’t succeed in their plans due to the awakened crowd. There was approximately 4 lakhs INR in the ATM.

The bank administration was shaken by this incident. Prior to the robbery, the culprits had cut the wiring of the ATM booth shutter and CCTV cameras. They arrived in a Bolero car. According to the information, Kalsada village is about 30 kilometers away from Byana and the main road, right next to the PNB bank, houses the ATM booth.

It’s located in a private building where the owner also resides. On Monday around 2:30 AM, the criminals broke into the ATM booth by cutting the shutter. They ripped the ATM machine out, but during this process, the ATM monitor fell outside the booth, making a noise.

This noise woke up the house owner who saw what was happening and informed the people nearby. Upon hearing the commotion, the criminals quickly fled in their Bolero vehicle. Upon receiving the information, SHO Sunil Kumar arrived at the scene on Monday morning and gathered information from bank officials.

The branch manager of the bank, Amit Meena, mentioned that the robbers had cut the wiring of the CCTV cameras, which is why they couldn’t be captured on CCTV. There was approximately four lakhs rupees in the ATM. Meanwhile, Kalsada police station in-charge Ramesh reported that an investigation has been initiated based on the information received. Witnesses are being questioned at the scene.
