The Supervisory Data Quality Index (sDQI) is a measure used by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to assess the quality of data submitted by banks through regulatory returns. It checks whether the information provided by banks is accurate, submitted on time, complete and consistent. The objective of the sDQI is to assess how well banks follow the RBI’s requirements for submitting supervisory returns. In simple terms, it works as a data quality score for banks, where a higher score indicates better quality of regulatory data submitted to the RBI.
