The police took immediate action, detained the accused bank employee, and began investigating the matter. This incident occurred on Wednesday morning when Advocate Shukla went to the bank to withdraw money from his account.

Advocate Shukla, who practices law in Haidergarh Tehsil, explained that he had gone to the bank to withdraw money that was credited to his account from selling paddy. When he approached the bank’s cashier, the cashier said his passbook was old and could only process a withdrawal of ₹50,000. The cashier told Shukla to apply for a new passbook to access the remaining funds.

Hoping for a quick solution, Shukla asked the bank clerk to issue the new passbook immediately. However, the clerk told him to return the next day for it. This delay upset Shukla, and he insisted that his issue be resolved on the same day.

The situation became tense when the bank employee, Manoj Kumar, reportedly became annoyed and asked Shukla to leave the bank. When Shukla protested against this rude behavior, the clerk allegedly slapped him.

Shocked and hurt, Shukla informed the President of the Tehsil Bar Association, Ram Pratap Singh, and the General Secretary, Kuwar Bahadur Yadav, about the incident. In response, the Bar Association members called an emergency meeting and decided to take action. They collectively went to the local police station and filed a formal complaint against the bank employee.

The police acted promptly, registered a case, and took the accused employee into custody for questioning. Investigations are ongoing to understand what led to the incident and to take appropriate legal action.

Meanwhile, the Bank Manager, Robin Chaturvedi, also submitted a complaint to the police. Complaints have been received from both sides and Kotwali in-charge Ajay Tripathi stated that both complaints are being reviewed, and legal action will be taken after a thorough investigation.
