At the headquarters of Sarv Haryana Gramin Bank, officers and employees held a demonstration at the state level. They were expressing their dissatisfaction with the ongoing issues related to the uploading of farmers’ data on the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna (PMFBY) portal.

According to Sandeep Beniwal, the General Secretary of the Sarv Haryana Gramin Bank Officers Association, they are facing problems with data uploading due to the portal’s malfunction. Instead of working towards a solution, the bank management is holding them accountable, which they believe is unfair and unjust.

In response to their concerns, the protesting bank officials submitted a memorandum to the bank authorities, urging them to resolve the issue through dialogue. They warned that if their concerns were not addressed, they might resort to a strike.

Previously, only information about the agricultural fields and villages of insured farmers needed to be uploaded. However, on August 14, the state government issued a communication to the State-Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), mandating the precise details of agricultural land, including the crops to be insured, to be uploaded from that point forward.
