Female employee of Bandhan Bank committed suicide due to black mailing from her colleague
A girl working in Bandhan Bank in Lucknow committed suicide after being fed up of blackmailing by her ex-boyfriend, not her fiance. The police arrested the girl’s former co-worker and sent her to jail. According to the police, in order to break the marriage of the girl, her obscene photos and videos were sent to her fiance.
At the same time, he was pressurizing her to marry him. Because of this, the girl had taken a suicidal step. Originally a 26-year-old girl resident of Hamirpur, she used to work in Sarojini Nagar in Bandhan Bank. The bank was in the building where the girl lived. The dead body of the girl was found hanging on the noose on Saturday night.
On Sunday, the police had registered a case of murder against 10 people including the area manager of the bank on the basis of complaint filed by girl’s brother.
ADCP South Shashank Singh said that during the investigation regarding the death of the girl, it was revealed that the girl had befriended Pawan Awasthi, a resident of Lakhimpur Kheri, during her posting in Unnao.
Pawan was constantly pressurizing the girl not to get married to another boy. On the girl’s refusal, her obscene photos and videos were sent to her fiance. Due to this, her marriage broke and she committed suicide.
Police investigation has revealed that Pawan started blackmailing the girl as soon as he came to know that her marriage was fixed. He said that she should break the marriage, otherwise he will send her personal photo and video to the fiance along with making it viral.
On August 6, photos and videos were sent to the fiance when the girl did not agree. The girl went into depression due to the breakdown of the marriage. This was revealed from the call details of the deceased’s mobile and WhatsApp chatting.
