The dead body of a girl posted as a manager in Axis Bank in Fatehpur was found hanging in a rented house. The family was informed about the death through a young relative. Shivani alias Jyoti Shikha, 22-year-old daughter of Shiv Sharan, resident of Ishapur Majre Digh village of Bindki Kotwali area of the district, was posted as manager in Axis Bank in Noida. She was pursuing further studies by taking a rented house in Valmiki Basti of the city. Her body was found hanging in the room at night.
A young relative informed the family about the girl being hanged. On receiving information from the young man, the family members reached the spot and informed the police after seeing the condition of the dead body. Police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem.
The girl’s father Shiv Sharan told that the daughter was living in a rented house in the city for one and a half years and was posted as Bank Manager in Axis Bank in Noida. From there, she came to Kanpur on 31st December to give the Reserve Bank of India paper and after giving the paper, she came to the village. The next day when the daughter told me to go to the city, he left the daughter and came to the village.
At night, a young man informed a distant relative over phone about his daughter’s suicide by hanging herself. Whereas I have full suspicion that the young man Ashu, a resident of Kewai, wanted to marry his daughter and the daughter had refused to marry him. That’s why she was murdered and hanged.
In this case, Kotwali in-charge Shamsher Bahadur Singh said that the body of the girl has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem. The father has accused the same youth of murder who had informed the family about the incident. Further action will be taken only after the post mortem report comes.
