Criminals murdered Bank Guard and shot Bank Employee and looted Rs.40 lakh from Bank in Mirzapur
A major incident of robbery has occurred outside an Axis Bank branch in Mirzapur. Here, motorcycle-riding criminals shot and killed a security guard in broad daylight. They then fled with the cash van’s box, which contained 4 million rupees. Two individuals were also injured in the criminals’ gunfire.
As soon as the information was received, the police, along with the Special Operations Group, arrived at the scene. The incident took place in the Badli Katra area of the Kotwali region. The murder and robbery occurred around 12:45 PM. CCTV footage in front of the bank shows four criminals wearing black helmets. The criminals executed the robbery when an Axis Bank vehicle arrived to deposit cash. A criminal had already been lurking near the van, while the other three were keeping a distance from the bank. All the criminals were wearing black helmets.
The video shows that as the guard opened the van’s gate to retrieve the cash box, one of the criminals approached from behind and shot the guard. After being shot, the guard fell to the ground, and another criminal rushed towards the van’s gate. Meanwhile, another criminal approached from behind and calmly grabbed the cash box. Following this, all four criminals opened fire and fled on two motorcycles.
During their escape, the criminals also shot and injured a bank employee named Akhilesh and a passerby named Bahadur from the Vindhya region. Chaos ensued at the scene after the incident, with people running in all directions. The police immediately rushed the injured to the district hospital, where the guard, Jay Singh (45) from Maladharapur Cheelh, succumbed to his injuries. The two injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment.
In response to the incident, a city SP, Paramanand Kushwaha, stated, “Four criminals shot and killed a cash van’s guard and two others outside AXIS Bank. The looted amount is reported to be 3.94 million rupees. The search for all the criminals is underway, and a full investigation of the case will be conducted soon.”
SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav also tweeted about the incident, saying, “The murder of a guard and a 2.2 million-rupee robbery outside a bank in Mirzapur has left Uttar Pradesh in fear. The injured should receive proper treatment, and compensation should be provided to the deceased’s family. There is no safety for homes, shops, or banks in Uttar Pradesh. Where is the administration when it comes to the security of the public amid fake events, elections, and VVIP visits?”
