Bank of India Employee beaten brutally by Policemen in UP

Bank of India: In Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, India, a bank employee was brutally beaten by police officers after he asked them to move their motorcycle from the middle of the road.

The victim, Shailendra Sharma, is a cashier at Bank of India. He lives in a neighborhood behind the Hardoi police station. On the night of December 24, 2023, Sharma was returning home when he saw a motorcycle blocking the road. He asked the motorcycle’s owner, a police officer named Diwakar, to move it.

Diwakar became angry and called in seven or eight other police officers. The officers then beat Sharma with sticks and belts. Sharma’s 12-year-old daughter also tried to intervene, but she was also beaten by the officers.

Sharma was taken to the police station, where he was given a medical examination. He was then released, but he is still suffering from injuries to his head, back, and legs.

Sharma has filed a complaint against the police officers involved. He is demanding that they be punished for their brutality.

The incident has sparked outrage in Hardoi. Many people are calling for an investigation into the police department and for the officers involved to be held accountable.

In this matter, the Twitter handle of the Samajwadi Party took aim at the BJP, stating, “Because you have turned the police into goons. We don’t want BJP.” Meanwhile, on Monday, the officials of the Bank Union reached the SP office. Here, they expressed anger over the incident while staging a protest.

Bank union officials have demanded swift action against the accused. CEO City assured bank employees of appropriate action after witnessing their displeasure.

    The police officials beating Mr Sharma is unlawful, arbitrary and not maintainable under law. The police should lodge Immediately against the erring police officials and should be placed under suspense. Besides prosecuting them stren departmental action to be initiated against them.
