Ameesha Patel Settles Rs 2.5 Crore Cheque Bounce Case in Ranchi Court

On Friday, a court in Ranchi cleared Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel of a cheque bounce case involving Rs 2.5 crores. The case was resolved after she paid the full amount to the complainant. The decision was made by Judicial Magistrate DN Shukla, who handled the case following an application filed by Jharkhand-based filmmaker Ajay Kumar Singh.

Background of the Case

The trouble began in 2018 when Ajay Kumar Singh accused Ameesha Patel of fraud and cheque bounce. He claimed that he had transferred approximately Rs 2.5 crore into her bank account for the production of a film titled Desi Magic. Unfortunately, the film never progressed, and in an attempt to settle the matter, Ameesha issued a cheque for the same amount. However, the cheque bounced, leading to Singh’s complaint against her. This situation caused significant stress for both parties involved.

Resolution

After years of legal proceedings, the matter came to a close when Ameesha Patel paid the entire Rs 2.5 crore to Ajay Kumar Singh. With this payment, the court decided to dispose of the case, bringing an end to the legal troubles for the actress.

Conclusion

This case highlights the importance of financial agreements in the film industry and the complications that can arise when projects do not go as planned. With the matter resolved, Ameesha Patel can now focus on her career and future projects without this legal burden.
