Amarnath Yatra 2026 Registration Process in Banks and List PDF

The registration process for the Hindu pilgrimage Amarnath Yatra 2026 will start from April 15. This year, the Yatra will begin from July 3, 2026, and is scheduled to conclude on August 28.

Pilgrims can easily register for the Yatra via bank branches. Pilgrims can visit the designated branches of the banks and register for the Yatra.

Pilgrims need to remember that not all Bank branches are allowed for registration. Registration is allowed only through some branches. The list of allowed branches is attached below. You can download PDF of Bank branches and check which branch is allowed for registration of Amarnath Yatra.

Amarnath Yatra Registration 2026 Bank Rules

  1. The registration of yatris shall commence through all the designated bank branches from 15th April 2026.
  2. The registration and issuance of Yatra permit shall be done on first come first serve basis.
  3. Each designated bank branch has been allotted a fixed per day per route quota for registering the yatris for Yatra 2026. The designated branch shall ensure that the number of registered yatris does not exceed the allotted per day per route quota.
  4. No Yatri who is below the age of 13 years or above the age of 70 years and no lady with more than six weeks pregnancy would be registered to undertake Yatra, even if Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) has been issued by authorised doctor.
  5. For Yatra 2026, advance registration through designated banks shall be done on real time basis after Aadhaar based biometric eKYC authentication and the Yatra permit shall be system generated through NIC Portal https://jksasb.nic.in.
  6. In case any glitch is encountered during Aadhar based biometric eKYC authentication, a mechanism of real time manual data entry with webcam-based photo capture of the intending yatri by designated bank branch has also been made available on NIC Portal as a failsafe option. This facility shall be available only if Aadhar based biometric authentication fails.
  7. Correct mobile number and aadhar number of the applicant shall be captured during registration
  8. The Yatra permit issued after Aadhaar based biometric eKYC authentication shall have “eKYC” printed on the permit.
  9. The banks shall stop registration for a given Yatra date, 07 days before the given date. For example, the registration for 3rd July, 2026 shall cease on 26th June 2026, for 5th July registration shall cease on 28th June 2026 and so on.
  10. Every Yatri shall have to submit a valid Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) for registration. The format of CHC, and the list of Doctors/ Medical Institutions authorized to issue CHC are available at SASB’s website link: https://jksasb.nic.in
  11. The applicant shall submit the following documents to the designated bank branch for seeking advance registration for Yatra 2026:
    a) A valid Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) on the prescribed format, issued on or after 8th April, 2026 by the authorized Doctor/ Medical Institution; and,
    b) Receipt of requisite fee deposited in the bank.
  12. The designated bank branch shall verify:
    a) Whether the CHC has been issued by the Doctor / Medical Institution authorized in this behalf by the respective State / UT, and
    b) Whether the CHC has been issued on or after 8th April, 2026
  13. If the CHC is found in order, the designated bank branch shall issue a Yatra Permit to the applicant against a payment of Rs 150/- per Yatra permit, after following the steps mentioned here.
  14. The designated bank branch shall issue system generated Yatra permit bearing “BALTAL” for Baltal Route and “PAHALGAM” for the Pahalgam Route.
  15. The authorized officer in the designated bank branch shall sign the system generated Yatra permit and apply the official seal of the concerned bank branch on the Yatra permit before handing over the same to the applicant.
  16. The date printed on the Yatra permit is the date on which the yatri shall be allowed to cross the access control gate at Domel (Baltal Axis) or at Chandanwari (Pahalgam Axis).
  17. The staff deployed for registration for Yatra 2026 in each of the designated bank branch is required to be duly sensitized in every aspect related to advance registration of the intending pilgrims by their respective Banks well before the commencement of registration.
  18. Registration of yatris in designated bank branches shall be done as per the procedure provided by SASB for Yatra 2026. Banks shall organize training workshops well in advance for its staff deployed for advance registration of intending Yatris for Yatra 2026.
  19. Banks shall launch a sustained media campaign to give wide publicity of advance registration for Yatra 2026 through various means, including but not limited to, social media handles/ display of the hoardings/ banners at various places and shall further share selected photographs of the same duly captioned with name of branch / bank/date / activity with SASB on daily basis through email sasbjk2001@gmail.com
  20. The Banks shall ensure the creation of adequate number of help desks at their respective branches for facilitating the yatris during registration.
