The finance ministry has called a review meeting of heads of banks today.
The meeting will be held between MD&CEOs of Banks and DFS Secretary – Sanjay Lohiya.
The meeting will review the progress of various financial inclusion schemes, including flagship Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Jan Suraksha.
Whether any other discussions, such as five-day banking or PLI, will also be held remains unknown as of now. If we receive any updates, we will inform our readers at the earliest.
As per the information received till now, discussions will be held on implementation of government sponsored schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana and Jan Suraksha.
Bankers are eagerly waiting for the implementation of five-day banking, but so far, both the government and union leaders have remained silent. It has been more than a week, but there is still no update on five-day banking.
