Indian Bank Chief Manager commits suicide in Chennai
Indian Bank Chief Manager in Head Office, Chennai, Sh Kanishq Vajpayee committed suicide today by jumping off the fourth floor of the Bank’s Head Office Building.
In past also, several cases of suicide inside bank premises have been reported. In February 2024, an officer performing duties at the Union Bank of India in Junagadh city tragically took his own life today by hanging himself from a railing near the bank premises. The entire incident was captured by the bank’s CCTV footage, which was seized by the police for further investigation. According to the suicide note found at the scene, the officer mentioned that he was experiencing immense pressure due to multiple assignments, such as CMCC, CMRD, RCoC, and others.
In September 2024, another employee of Union Bank – Biju, the Senior Manager and Branch Head of Union Bank of India’s Kakabe Branch in the Hassan Region, Bangalore zone commited suicide inside branch. Biju took his own life inside the bank branch, leaving behind grieving colleagues, family, and friends.
