Krishna Kumar has criticised NOBO over its position on the five-day banking week demand and advised bank officers to think carefully before joining NOBO.
In a post on X, Krishna Kumar said that NOBO is not a good option for officers as long as the BJP is in power. He alleged that the BJP government does not want to implement 5-day banking.
Kumar also described NOBO as an “extended arm of BJP”. He stated that officers who join NOBO could end up supporting or endorsing the government’s position on the five-day banking week issue.
He asked officers to consider this issue carefully before rejecting AIBOC in favour of NOBO. He also criticised AIBOC for its “betrayal” of the five-day banking week demand.
Earlier, he had also raised allegations on NOBO and NOBW and said that both were keen to sign 12th BPS without implementation of 5-day banking.
He alleged that on the night of 7 December 2023, NOBO and NOBW were among the strongest advocates for signing the MoU.
