Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman praised the collaborative efforts of Banks and NABARD at the Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025, emphasizing the significance of promoting GI-tagged products.
Speaking during her visit to the stalls, Sitharaman said, “This is a significant effort by all the banks, particularly NABARD, and I am delighted to be part of it. Our aim here is to showcase all the products that have received GI tags.”

Grameen Bharat Mahotsav 2025, an initiative of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), is a celebration of Rural India – the soul of India. Hosted at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from January 4 to 9, 2025, 10:30 am to 8 pm this event will bring together government officials, thought leaders, rural entrepreneurs, and stakeholders from various sectors to collaborate on initiatives that foster sustainable rural growth.
