The 5th IBA CISO Summit & Citations 2026 recognised banks across the country for their outstanding work in cyber security, cyber resilience, identity and access management, and cyber security teams. The awards covered co-operative banks, regional rural banks, small finance banks, foreign banks, and public and private sector banks of different sizes. The summit highlighted the banking sector’s continued efforts to strengthen digital security and protect customers from growing cyber threats.

Awards for Co-operative Sector Banks

In the Co-operative Sector Banks category, TJSB Sahakari Bank Ltd. received the Runner-up award for Cyber Resilience of the Year. The Kalupur Commercial Co-operative Bank Limited was recognised as the Runner-up in Cyber Security Team of the Year as well as Runner-up in Identity & Access Management of the Year. The Cosmos Co-operative Bank Ltd. won the Cyber Resilience of the Year award. Saraswat Co-operative Bank Ltd. emerged as one of the top performers in this category by winning both Cyber Security Team of the Year and Identity & Access Management of the Year.

Regional Rural Banks

Regional Rural Banks also performed strongly at the summit. Kerala Grameena Bank received the Runner-up awards in Identity & Access Management of the Year and Cyber Security Team of the Year. Karnataka Grameena Bank won the Cyber Security Team of the Year award and also became the Runner-up in Identity & Access Management of the Year. Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank secured two major awards by winning Identity & Access Management of the Year and Cyber Resilience of the Year. Rajasthan Gramin Bank also received two recognitions by winning Identity & Access Management of the Year and becoming the Runner-up in Cyber Resilience of the Year.

Payment and Small Finance Banks

Among Payment and Small Finance Banks, AU Small Finance Bank Limited was declared the Runner-up in Cyber Resilience of the Year. Slice Small Finance Bank received Runner-up awards in Cyber Security Team of the Year and Identity & Access Management of the Year. Jana Small Finance Bank Limited won the Identity & Access Management of the Year award. Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Limited stood out by winning both Cyber Security Team of the Year and Cyber Resilience of the Year.

Foreign Sector Banks

In the Foreign Sector Banks category, Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait BSC received the Runner-up award in Cyber Resilience of the Year. Standard Chartered Bank was one of the biggest winners in this category. It won the Cyber Resilience of the Year award and also received Jury Mentions for both Cyber Security Team of the Year and Identity & Access Management of the Year.

Public & Private Sector – Small Banks

In the Public & Private Sector – Small Bank category, City Union Bank Ltd. became the Runner-up in Cyber Resilience of the Year. RBL Bank Ltd. won the Identity & Access Management of the Year award. Karnataka Bank Ltd. won the Cyber Resilience of the Year award and was also recognised as the Runner-up in Cyber Security Team of the Year. The Karur Vysya Bank Ltd. delivered an impressive performance by winning Cyber Security Team of the Year and Cyber Resilience of the Year, while also becoming the Runner-up in Identity & Access Management of the Year.

Public & Private Sector – Medium Banks

Several medium-sized public and private sector banks were also honoured. Bank of India became the Runner-up in Identity & Access Management of the Year. Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. received Runner-up awards in Identity & Access Management of the Year and Cyber Resilience of the Year. The Federal Bank Ltd. was recognised as the Runner-up in Cyber Security Team of the Year. Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited won the Cyber Resilience of the Year award. Central Bank of India won the Cyber Security Team of the Year award, while Indian Overseas Bank secured two major awards by winning Cyber Security Team of the Year and Identity & Access Management of the Year.

Public & Private Sector – Large Banks

The Large Bank category featured some of India’s leading banks. HDFC Bank Ltd. received the Runner-up award in Identity & Access Management of the Year. Canara Bank became the Runner-up in Cyber Resilience of the Year. Union Bank of India won the Cyber Security Team of the Year award. Axis Bank Ltd. received the Identity & Access Management of the Year award. State Bank of India (SBI) emerged as one of the top winners in this category by winning the Cyber Resilience of the Year award and also becoming the Runner-up in Cyber Security Team of the Year.
