SBI Donates Electric Buggies to Victoria Hospital’s Trauma Centre in Bengaluru

The State Bank of India (SBI) has donated four electric buggies to the Bengaluru Medical College and Research Institute (BMCRI) Trauma and Emergency Care Centre, located within Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru. The donation, worth ₹38.16 lakh, aims to improve patient and staff mobility within the large hospital campus.

SBI’s Contribution to Healthcare Mobility

Joohi Smita Sinha, Chief General Manager of SBI Bengaluru Circle, officially handed over the electric buggies to the hospital authorities. Victoria Hospital, which is spread over 86 acres in the heart of Bengaluru, will use these buggies to transport patients, attendants, and medical staff more efficiently across the premises.

Hospital Authorities Express Gratitude

Dr. Balaji S Pai, Special Officer at the trauma care centre, along with Dr. Asima Banu, Principal of BMCRI and Nodal Officer of the centre, received the donation on behalf of the hospital. They expressed their gratitude to SBI for its support in enhancing hospital services.

The event was attended by SBI General Manager (Network-1) Sushil Kumar Singh and other senior officials from the bank, highlighting SBI’s commitment to supporting healthcare infrastructure through corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

This donation is expected to improve emergency response times and provide better accessibility for patients and healthcare workers within Victoria Hospital’s expansive campus.
