SBI Bank Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 Age (As on 31.05.2026)

• Maximum Age: 35 years

Basic Educational Qualification

• Mandatory: MBBS from any recognized University/College approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council.
• Preferred: Post Graduate Diploma OR Post Graduate Degree of MD / MS or its equivalent.

Experience

i) Those having MBBS degree:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a General Practitioner reckoned as on the date of eligibility from the date of registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council.
• Experience gained during internship will not be counted for eligibility.

ii) Those having Post Graduate degree:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a General Practitioner reckoned as on the date of eligibility from the date of registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council.
• Experience gained during internship will not be counted for eligibility.

SBI Bank Medical Officer Selection Process 2026

The selection will be on the basis of Online Written Test and Interview followed by Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT). The online written test will be conducted tentatively in the month of August 2026.

Pattern for Online Written Examination

Note:

• Qualifying in nature and marks scored will not be reckoned for arriving at the Merit.
• There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Online Written Examination.

Important Points

• Except Professional Knowledge (PK) paper, other papers will be qualifying in nature. Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks in these papers. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank or may be waived at the discretion of the Bank.
• To be eligible for being shortlisted for the Interview, the candidates have to score equal to or above the cut-off marks as decided by the Bank for the Professional Knowledge (PK) paper, besides scoring minimum qualifying marks in other papers.
• Selection in Online Written Examination will be made from the top-ranked candidates in descending order of Merit, in each category. In case more than one candidate scores the cut-off marks (common marks at cut-off point), such candidate will be ranked according to their age in descending order in the Merit list.
• Interview: Category-wise adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be called for Interaction based on the performance in Online Written Test. Interview will carry 100 marks. The qualifying marks in the Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

Application Fees

Application fees and Intimation Charges (Non-refundable) is Rs.750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred Fifty only) for General/EWS/OBC candidates and no fees/intimation charges for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates.
