
On Saturday, June 15, a branch of Axis Bank located in Devkuli, Bihta, Patna was targeted by fearless robbers. The criminals attacked the bank, took the employees hostage, and fled after looting Rs 17.50 lakh. The bank employees immediately informed the police about the robbery, and officers from multiple police stations, as well as top officials, have arrived at the scene to investigate the matter.
Investigation and CCTV Footage
The police are currently scanning the CCTV footage to identify the criminals involved in the robbery. The incident has caused panic among the people in the area. The bank officials are currently in the process of matching the looted money to determine the exact amount that was stolen. However, it is currently estimated that Rs 17.5 lakh was looted during the robbery.
Details of the Robbery
According to witnesses present at the bank, four masked armed criminals entered the Axis Bank branch near Devkuli village in Bihta. In addition to looting Rs 17.5 lakh from the bank, the criminals also snatched Rs 41,000 from a customer named Ganesh Chaudhary. After committing the robbery, the criminals fled towards Maner.
Police Response
The City SP West of Patna confirmed the incident and stated that around half a dozen armed criminals entered the bank in Devkali village in Bihta. They took all the bank employees hostage at gunpoint and fled after looting approximately Rs 17 lakh from the bank’s safe. During the robbery, the criminals also snatched Rs 41,000 from a customer named Ganesh Chaudhary. The bank employees immediately informed the Bihta police station, and the police promptly arrived at the scene.
