As Diwali approaches, Indian companies are showing appreciation for their employees by offering festive gifts, such as cash bonuses, sweets, and dry fruits. This year, Reliance Industries, led by Mukesh Ambani, has joined in the celebrations, gifting employees a special Diwali package.

The Diwali gift comes in a beautiful white box, labeled with “Deepawali Greetings” and “Shubh Deepawali” in both English and Hindi. Inside, employees find a cloth potli bag containing three packets of dry fruits: cashews, almonds, and raisins. Along with the gift, there’s a heartfelt card from the Ambani family. Signed by Mukesh Ambani, his wife Nita Ambani, their children Akash, Isha, and Anant, along with their spouses and even the Ambani grandchildren, the card makes the gesture even more personal and warm.

The gift has been well-received by employees, with a software developer from Reliance Jio Infocomm sharing an unboxing video on Instagram that quickly went viral, gathering over 1.6 million views and 500 comments. This video highlights the excitement and happiness among Reliance employees. In the comments, some users mentioned receiving similar gifts from Reliance in past years, while others shared what their own employers had given them, such as cash bonuses or kitchen appliances.

Reliance’s gesture reflects its longstanding commitment to celebrating important moments with employees. Earlier this year, in July, the company also marked the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant with a special gift for its employees. A red gift box, adorned with gold lettering, contained blessings and well-wishes from the Ambani family, reading: “With the divine grace of our devis and devtas, we celebrate the wedding of Anant and Radhika. With best wishes, Nita and Mukesh Ambani.”

Such thoughtful gestures from Reliance showcase the company’s commitment to building a strong, family-like connection with its workforce. As companies across India recognize their employees’ contributions through festive gifts, Reliance’s Diwali package reflects its dedication to making each celebration meaningful for its employees.
