Rampur: The CBCID team executed a raid on Prathama Bank, situated in the village of Param within the Milak area. Their operation resulted in the apprehension of the bank’s field officer and another private employee who were caught red-handed accepting bribes. The raid, which extended well into Wednesday night, concluded with the team taking both individuals into custody on Thursday morning. In the Milak area, Dinesh Kumar, the field officer of the Prathama UP Gramin Bank branch in Param, and Bhimsen, a private employee, were arrested by the CBCID while receiving a bribe of 3500 rupees from Munnalal, a local farmer.
According to the victim, Munnalal, a Kisan Credit Loan amounting to 5,71,000 rupees had been taken out under the name of his father, Netram. This loan is renewed annually. In exchange for processing the loan, the field officer demanded a bribe of five thousand rupees. Outraged by this corruption, Munnalal lodged a complaint with Adesh Shankhdhar, the District President of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Rampur. Upon receiving the complaint, Shankhdhar promptly contacted the CBCID, who swiftly mobilized their team. On Wednesday, the team arrived at the Param branch and apprehended both the accused individuals.
The field officer, caught by the CBCID during their operation, had also employed a private employee to aid in his illicit activities. Munnalal revealed that when the field officer demanded the bribe, he instructed Munnalal to contact the private employee working at the bank and hand over the bribe to him.
