Punjab National Bank (PNB) – one of the largest public sector bank in India has launched a new initiative for its Subordinate Staff (Clerical Staff). The Bank has decided to create a WhatsApp group of all the subordinate staff in a circle and add the HR officer and Digital Marketing Officer to that group. The purpose of this group will be to enhance the knowledge of Subordinate staff which will subsequently lead to the betterment of banking services.
Recently, other public sector banks released orders to utilize clerks in the marketing of bank products. Earlier, Bank of India had given Clerks Targets to enroll customers in PMJJBY and PMSBY Schemes. Indian Overseas Bank Regional Manager ordered Clerks to do Marketing of Loans. This is happening because the 12th Bipartite Settlement has changed the roles and duties of Clerical staff in public sector banks.
