A Punjab National Bank (PNB) employee lost his life in a tragic road accident on Tuesday evening while returning home from work. The incident occurred near Tandwa High School when a bike rider collided with him.
The deceased has been identified as Nitish, son of Abhay Kumar Agarwal, a resident of Purhara village. Following the accident, he was first taken to Nabinagar Referral Hospital for treatment. Due to his critical condition, doctors referred him to Aurangabad Sadar Hospital. Later, he was being shifted to Jamuhar Medical College, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
Family Alleges Negligence
Nitish’s family has raised serious allegations, claiming that he had already passed away at Sadar Hospital, yet the doctors referred him further instead of declaring his death. They believe this unnecessary transfer delayed the final confirmation.
Victim’s Background and Police Action
Nitish had been working as a peon at Punjab National Bank since 2017. He got married in 2021 and is survived by his wife and 11-month-old child. His body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem and reached his village on Wednesday morning.
Following the incident, locals caught the accused bike rider and handed him over to the police. Tandwa police station in-charge Dhananjay Kumar confirmed that both bikes involved in the accident have been seized, and further legal action is underway.
