Satpal Singh (40), a bank cashier from Jarifpur Chatar, passed away during treatment at a private hospital in Dehradun. His wife, Neeru, has accused his family of murdering him over property disputes and has demanded action from the Superintendent of Police (SP).
Illness and Death
Satpal Singh, employed at the Punjab National Bank (PNB) branch in Gajraula Shiv, had been unwell for a prolonged period. He was admitted to a private hospital in Dehradun 15 days ago and succumbed to his illness on Wednesday.
When Satpal’s body was brought back to his village, the family was overcome with grief. However, the situation took a dramatic turn when Neeru, who resides in Vasundhara Vihar, Bijnor, submitted a complaint to the SP, alleging foul play.
Wife Alleges Murder
In her complaint, Neeru accused Satpal’s family and relatives of conspiring to murder him to seize his property. She claimed that they forced him to consume alcohol and sought the help of exorcists instead of providing proper medical treatment. Neeru also alleged that she had been kept away from her husband for an extended period.
Police Action and Investigation
Following Neeru’s complaint, the police took custody of Satpal’s body, conducted a preliminary investigation, and sent it for a postmortem. The Circle Officer (CO) stated that Satpal and Neeru had been living separately for the past two years due to marital discord.
The CO added that the allegations are under investigation and that further action will depend on the findings of the postmortem and treatment reports.
The case has raised questions about family dynamics and property disputes, and the police are working to uncover the truth behind Satpal Singh’s death.
