SBI Manager’s Wife Dies by Suicide After Fall From Apartment Terrace in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 32-year-old woman died by suicide at a multi-storey apartment complex in KPHB Colony on Monday. Police said the woman had been receiving treatment for severe depression.

Woman Identified as Sheethal

The woman was identified as Sheethal, a native of Kannur in Kerala. She was married to Sonu Purushothaman, a Deputy Manager at State Bank of India (SBI), around six years ago.

The couple lived with their four-year-old daughter and Purushothaman’s parents on the fifth floor of Panchavati Apartments in KPHB Phase 6.

Police Begin Investigation

According to KPHB Sub-Inspector Shashidhar, Sheethal went to the terrace area of the apartment building at around 4 pm on Monday. She later fell from the terrace into the apartment compound and died from her injuries.

After receiving information about the incident, KPHB police reached the spot and began an investigation.

She Was Under Treatment for Depression

During their inquiry, police spoke to Sheethal’s husband and her brother in Kerala. They learned that she had been undergoing medical treatment for severe depression for some time.

Police informed her parents in Kerala about the incident. Her body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Further Investigation Underway

Police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding her death.
