PNB Manager arrested by CBI while taking bribe for loan

Punjab National Bank (PNB) manager – Singhesh Jha, was apprehended by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh in Badarpur. The arrest came as a result of an undercover operation initiated by the anti-corruption branch, prompted by a customer’s grievance against Jha’s alleged illicit practices on November 23.

The CBI team, acting on the tip-off exposed Jha accepting a bribe amounting to approximately Rs 1 lakh. The operation unfolded as a response to complaints regarding Jha’s unethical demand for bribes under the pretext of facilitating loans.
