The Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) successfully organized a Pensioners’ Awareness Program in Jaipur on March 18, 2025. The program, held in collaboration with the Central Government Pensioners Welfare Association, Jaipur, aimed to educate pensioners about various government initiatives designed to improve their welfare and streamline pension-related processes.

Key Highlights of the Pensioners’ Awareness Program

During the event, pensioners were given insights into several government initiatives, including:

  • Bhavishya and Integrated Pensioners Portal – Platforms designed to manage pension-related processes efficiently.
  • CPENGRAMS (Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System) – A system to help pensioners raise and track grievances.
  • Pension Adalat and DPPW Call Center (1-800-11-1960) – Initiatives aimed at quick resolution of pension-related issues.
  • Digital Life Certificate Campaign & Face Authentication Technology – Modern solutions enabling pensioners to submit their life certificates remotely.
  • Health & CGHS (Central Government Health Scheme) Benefits – Information on medical facilities available to retired government employees.
  • Anubhav & Anubhav Awardees Speak Webinar Series – Platforms allowing retired officials to share their experiences and contribute to policy discussions.

The program emphasized digital empowerment, ensuring pensioners are aware of the latest technological advancements to simplify pension-related tasks.

8th Bankers’ Awareness Program – Training for Pension Processing Officers

Alongside the pensioners’ program, the 8th Bankers’ Awareness Program was also conducted. This event saw the participation of officials from Punjab National Bank’s Central Pension Processing Centers (CPPCs), responsible for handling pension-related tasks.

Key discussions included:

  • Strengthening coordination between banks and the government for faster resolution of pension grievances.
  • Training on the Digital Life Certificate Campaign and Face Authentication to ensure seamless pension processing.
  • Best practices for handling pension disbursements and ensuring timely payments to pensioners.

This workshop is part of an ongoing initiative by the government to train banking officials who deal with pensioners, ensuring efficient service delivery and minimal delays in pension disbursement.

Senior Officials and Experts Participate

Senior officials from the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare, Punjab National Bank, and representatives from the Central Government Pensioners Welfare Association attended the event. Their participation underscored the government’s commitment to improving pensioner services and addressing concerns effectively.

The program concluded with an interactive session, where pensioners and banking officials shared their experiences and feedback, paving the way for further improvements in pension management.
