She said that she is working as a Chief Manager in the Credit Department and alleged that the Deputy Zonal Manager has been regularly harassing her. According to her, she has submitted multiple complaints to higher authorities, but no action has been taken so far.
She claimed that the Deputy Zonal Manager continuously monitors her through CCTV cameras and frequently calls her to his cabin. She further alleged that he misbehaves with her, defames her, and makes derogatory remarks against her.
According to her, the alleged harassment has severely affected her personal life and health. She claimed that she suffered a miscarriage and lost her dream of becoming a mother due to the stress caused by the harassment.
She also alleged that on one occasion, after a senior official called the Deputy Zonal Manager, he called her to his cabin and told her that the DGM wanted to speak with her because he liked her.
She alleged that the Deputy Zonal Manager asked her to show details of her phone calls and wanted to know whom she was talking to. She also claimed that whenever someone came to meet her, he would ask who the person was and what they had discussed.
She claimed that the Deputy Zonal Manager does not know his limits and does not respect women. She further appealed to women employees to take action against such individuals and to file police complaints when organisations fail to act on their grievances.
If these allegations are found to be true, Indian Bank should take strict action against the accused officer in accordance with its policies and the law. Every organisation has a responsibility to provide a safe, respectful, and dignified workplace for women employees. Prompt and fair action in such cases is essential to maintain trust among employees and to ensure that incidents of harassment are not tolerated.
