Pathankot Car Accident: 3 Missing PNB Bank Employees Found Dead After Car Falls in Canal

Pathankot Car Accident: On Sunday, a tragic car accident occurred in Pathankot, where a car carrying five employees of the Punjab National Bank branch fell into the UBDC canal of Madhopur. Two of the five employees were able to come out of the canal safely, while the search for the remaining three employees is still ongoing. The missing employees have been identified as Vishal, Ajay Babul, and Ashok Kumar, who hails from Mirzapur (Madhopur) and was unfortunately found deceased.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police administration arrived at the scene and requested the canal department to shut off the water flow. The NDRF team was also called in to assist in tracing the missing employees. Despite the efforts of the search teams, the three missing employees were swept away by the strong current.

DSP holder Rajinder Minhas provided more details about the accident. Based on statements from those who were in the car, it was revealed that the driver, who remains unidentified, had mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brakes. This caused the car to plunge into the canal, leading to the tragic incident.

The five victims were reportedly employees of the Punjab National Bank in Pathankot, who had gone out to celebrate a holiday. In addition to Ashok Kumar, who was found deceased, the deceased employees were identified as Vishal and Ajay Babul. One of the survivors, Ram, hails from Rajasthan.

The NDRF and police teams conducted a joint operation to retrieve the bodies of the deceased from the canal. The tragic incident has caused concern and sadness in the community, and authorities are working to investigate further to ensure that such accidents do not occur again in the future.
