Man Found Sleeping Inside SBI ATM in Hyderabad
A man was found sleeping inside an SBI ATM near Peeli Dargah in Borabanda, Hyderabad. The incident raised concerns about the security of bank ATM centres. A customer who visited the ATM to withdraw cash was surprised to see the man sleeping comfortably inside the ATM.

Residents Raise Security Concerns
After the incident, local residents expressed concern about the safety of ATM centres in the area. They said that security and surveillance at several ATMs are not adequate, making it easier for unauthorized people to enter.
Previous Incidents
A few days ago, a similar incident was reported from Bhiti in Mau district, Uttar Pradesh, where a man was found sleeping inside a State Bank of India (SBI) ATM booth. The man was seen resting comfortably on the floor of the air-conditioned ATM to escape the extreme heat and humidity. In May 2026, in Bihar’s Danapur area, an SBI ATM was turned into a salon. SBI had vacated the premises that were earlier used for the ATM, and a man started running his salon there. He did not remove the SBI board, and the interior also remained unchanged.On seeing the ATM Banner, people visited the place to withdraw cash.
